Nufu

About :

NuFu (an acronym for Nuclear Fusion) is a new breed of creative design and production agency, whereby their digital talent work onsite with the client. Based in London, but operating on a global scale, NuFu strives to bring together the forces of agency and in-house to create solutions that are even more impactful. With a focus on transparency and performance, NuFu is a disruptor in the agency world, delivering effective work in an agile and cost-effective way.

NuFu is part of Engine, an award-winning global communications company with more than 2,100 employees based across locations such as London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Melbourne and part of a wider family with 13 partner businesses that make up the Engine family, including WCRS, MHP, Trailer Park, ORC International, Partners Andrews Aldridge, Deep Focus, Synergy, Mischief, Fuel, Transform, Engine Media and Slice.

Challenge :

At the time, NuFu were a newly born yet high-growth agency. That meant that getting the right talent and skills in place were of paramount importance. Being embryonic, customer satisfaction was a top priority and they needed to make sure the right people were in place to grow their reputation.

With client demands changing and evolving during a project and new projects being won, NuFu needed to find a cost-effective way of attracting and hiring talent on a short notice while still building their talent pipeline for future projects.

They felt the cost of using recruitment agencies was prohibitive and the service they had received was mixed. Being an early stage business, building their own internal function was not a realistic option but they appreciated the need for something that had the urgency and reach of an agency whilst building an internal talent presence.

Approach :

After considering other onsite recruitment providers, they felt Troi’s extensive expertise in addition to a vast network across the creative and media industries in the UK was key in the selection process. As a result of Troi’s expertise Nufu has been able to successfully build a talent pipeline against future projects, as well as streamline and standardise some of the existing hiring processes and make the hires that were needed to land projects in a much more cost effective way.
