About :

Clear Review is an award-winning performance management software company. Their simple and powerful technology is built to help companies move from broken annual performance appraisals to regular, meaningful conversations and feedback.

Clear Review was founded in 2016 by Stuart Hearn, former HR Director at Sony and head of a performance and talent management consultancy. After years of seeing the good and the bad in performance management he decided to build a simpler and more effective breed of software and a great team to support it.

Clear Review has successfully been meeting the growing demand for a technology solution that promotes ongoing, meaningful performance and development conversations. They have so far helped 250 companies including Virgin Money, HarperCollins, Next, Kennedys, Abellio and Ricoh just to name a few.

Challenge :

One big challenge for Clear Review was that they didn’t have a dedicated person responsible for recruiting which meant their hiring managers spent a lot of time on sourcing, scheduling interviews and talking to candidates. Hiring was simply taking way too long for them which was impacting their speed of growth.

Since Clear Review didn’t have a dedicated talent function their recruitment and hiring processes lacked consistency, efficiency and robustness.

Approach :

Clear Review’s hiring volume was not high enough for them to hire their own talent function, it did not make financial sense. They also did not want to use an agency because they felt agencies lacked an understanding of their business and unique culture. What they wanted was an internal flexible resource with the reach and competence of an agency, this is where they found Troi as their ideal solution.
